The Flute Fair Committee is currently accepting proposals for workshops, clinics, reading sessions, masterclasses and other non-recital presentations for the 2027 Flute Fair to be held on Saturday February 27, 2027 at West Chester University. We especially welcome participatory workshops geared towards both youth and adult amateur flute enthusiasts!
Timeline:
- Please complete the proposals form, including short bio and any supporting materials via the embedded form below by December 1, 2026.
- Presenters will be notified of acceptance by December 15, 2026.
- Presenters shall complete all necessary applications for for background checks through the FSGP's volunteer portals no later than December 31st.*
*New Requirement for 2027 Session Proposals: To be in compliance with our contract with West Chester University, all adults who may have direct programmatic interaction with minors during our events must have satisfactorily completed the following within the past 5 years:
- Federal Criminal History Record Information Check
- Pennsylvania State Criminal History Record Check (Act 34)
- PA Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse History Clearance Check (Act 151)
Therefore, anyone who submits a session proposal must be willing to comply with the background screenings which will be completed through the FSGP's Volunteer Portals and paid for by the FSGP. In addition, you will need to undergo volunteer training that will be provided by WCU, and agree to their Code of Conduct. All instructions can be found on our Volunteer Information Page.

Please note: The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia will follow any Infectious Disease policies/guidelines set forth by West Chester University at the time of the event. All presenters and attendees will be expected to adhere to these guidelines in order to participate.
