Honoring the Legacy of Elaine Shaffer

1925-1973

At the 2026 Flute Fair, board members Cynthia McManus and Roberta Goren gave a presenation on the legacy of  Pennsylvania-born and Curtis Institute-trained flutist, Elaine Shaffer, who was one of the first females to be hired by a major symphony orchestra.
