(All Ages and Stages)

This is a non-competitive educational opportunity!

Are you preparing for auditions, competitions, or performances, and would some professional feedback, this event is for you!


PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS 

ENTRY FORM : Completed Entry Form must be submitted no later than October 30, 2022, by 9:00pm (EDT).

ENTRY FEES : Members: $30 / Non-Member: $40


RECORDING(S) : The Entry Form offers two options for uploading or linking files (which must be completed as part of the submission):

Upload your AUDIO FILE(S) (must be mp3 or m4a)

Paste in Link to your VIDEO FILES*

Recording(s) should not exceed 8 minutes. You may perform 1 or 2 pieces, complete or partial, unaccompanied or with a pianist. This is not a competition, so submitted content should be music for which you would like performance suggestions and evaluation notes based on YOUR requests (specified by you in your the entry form). Participants will receive written evaluations and suggestions from two experienced judges by November 13. Comment sheets are only shared with each entrant.

Recording for Auditions and Competitions

Please join us for a discussion on making your best recorded audition. Experienced teachers and adjudicators Jocelyn Crosby and Rebecca Simon will provide advice on the tech side of recording, as well as what judges listen and look for in recorded video auditions.

This event is well-suited for musicians auditioning for any level of audition or competition, and will present helpful recording information useful for any context.

We will follow this event with our traditional “Social Hour” for those who wish to remain and visit!
