Jay Berger worked for 15 years in popular music licensing before joining music publishers Carl Fischer and Theodore Presser as their in-house counsel. Jay will cover many topics including: how individuals and organizations obtain licensing permission and why this is important, general copyright protections which apply to music publications, and how to protect your own copyrights and earn royalties. Jay will also discuss legal principles specific to the music industry and take questions from participants.
