    The FSGP membership year runs from September 1 - August 31.  Between 8/15/19 and 9/15/19, returning members can save $5 off of the regular member fees.  Be sure to take advantage of the $5 discount by renewing your membership by September 15th using code 2019save5 when you renew online and make payment by 9/15.  Please do not attempt to renew before you receive the first email renewal reminder, or you may not be able to use the code!    

    Please note:  the format of our group/studio memberships have changed.  If you have an existing studio membership, or wish to create one, please be sure to contact Donna Moore before renewing to receive your special renewal code generated just for you and your studio members!

    Join Us for Our Annual Flute Fair with Guest Artist, Erica Peel!



    Saturday March 2nd

    at West Chester University of PA

    Plans are still being finalized for the 2019 Flute Fair, but it promises to be another great event! 

    The website will continue to be updated over the next few weeks, so keep checking back for information. 

    Online registration is open and will be available until February 27th


    Register for our Festival Flute Choir ASAP! 

    As a special treat, Erica Peel will solo with the group at the end of the concert on an arrangement of Mozart's Concerto in G Maj.,K.313, 2nd mvt. Adagio non troppo!  Music can be sent ahead of time if requested on the registration form. Visit the website for details.

    2018 Summer Camps/Festivals

    Saturday, June 16th 

    Flutefest at the Music School of Delaware is Saturday, June 16, 2018 with featured guest artist Erica Peel from the Philadelphia Orchestra.  We will be offering an orchestral audition masterclass in addition to other classes and a recital.

    June 24 - June 26

    2018 Mansfield University Flute Camp Intensive with Dr. Christine Moulton.

    Campers participate in several intensive days of flute study, from Sunday afternoon June 24 to Thursday afternoon, June 26. The camp culminates in a demonstration performance for parents, family and friends.

    Focus for 2018: Focus on dynamics, color, phrase direction, articulation and vibrato will be applied to bringing repertoire alive. For advanced-beginner to advanced level flutists with chamber music groups and flute choir. This will be fun and challenging for any level. Prepare for and compete in the 3rd annual Scale Bee! All campers will participate in chamber music groups and flute choir. Ages 13 – 18.

    Afternoon recreation activities including a low ropes course (team building).


    July 22 - 27 

    Pocono Flute Camp 2018 is now open for registrations! The camp was designed for adult amateur flutists, but our clinicians have been wonderful at planning classes and lessons for all levels of students from high school through folks in their 80s. Campers attend classes and recital programs and have at least two 45-minute private lessons, They rehearse with coaches and perform in a chamber music group with 2 to 4 other campers who play at their level. Everyone participates in the camp flute choir. We limit our enrollment so that there are no more than 8 campers to each clinician, so all campers get a lot of individual attention. 

    Our camp is based on the campus of East Stroudsburg University in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains. University housing and dining make the camp uniquely affordable.

    FSGP Flute Choir Performance:

    Every year the Historic Grange Estate in Haverford Township celebrates the holidays with elaborate Victorian decorations in the Mansion and a fantastic electric train display in the Carriage House. This year, on December 16, from 2:00-3:00 pm, the flute choir from the FSGP will present a program of holiday music to accompany house tours. The choir was greeted enthusiastically last year and invited back.

    Tours of the Mansion are $5, and admission to the train display is free. The Grange Estate is located at 143 Myrtle Ave., Havertown, PA 19083.
