"Bliss and Friends" Concert

The selections presented in this flute and guitar concert travel through multicultural dance forms and accent the music of Romania, Argentina, India, Ireland and America.
There is no admission charge, although donations are gratefully accepted.
Reception for the artists will follow.

Marc Adler at Chris' Jazz Cafe!

Chris’ Jazz Café , 1421 Sansom Street in Philadelphia
Jazz flutist and composer Marc Adler will be performing at Chris’ Jazz Café with his sextet for the release of his cd Labyrinth. This event is made possible by a generous grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
The band features Tony Miceli [vibes]; Tony Marino [bass]; Erik Johnson [drums] with additional horn players Bob Meashey [trumpet] and Jim McFalls [trombone]. They will be performing works from Labyrinth and other originals and arrangements.
Contemporary straight-ahead jazz at its best! Don’t miss this inspiring event! Sets begin at 9 p.m. Also – one lucky individual each set will win a signed and framed print of the original artwork for the cd cover along with a copy of the cd. Mr. Cramer will present a master class and recital along with a workshop on preparing for college auditions.
Other general classes offered will be Dalcroze, Yoga, flute ensembles plus others to be announced.
This is a fun day geared for all age students from beginning non-readers through adult.
